0 km 301-0 STAGE START: Red Sea Water factory on R, Continue straight along paved road. (Stores on L).
530 m 301-0.53 Continue straight ignoring R road to water refinery.
740 m 301-0.74 At Y, continue straight/L then in 125 m turn R.
830 m 301-0.83 Turn R, Continue along road all the way to the beginning of uphill.
1.6 km 301-1.6 Continue along semi paved road uphill.
1.9 km 301-1.9 Where stream on R and farm fence on top of R hill, turn L into flat brown soil field following 4X4.
2 km 301-2 Turn R off path, downhill in direction of barracks in the valley, all the way to paved road. (bearing 185)
2.3 km 301-2.3 Hit paved road, continue straight downhill with fenced olive grove on R.
2.5 km 301-2.5 Red house with olive grove on L, continue winding down with the same road.
2.7 km 301-2.7 High reeds & water stream on L.
2.8 km 301-2.8 At Y, turn L slightly uphill, with farms on R & L. (Trees with pink flowers all the way on R)
3 km 301-3 Olive groves on R & L.
3.08 km 301-3.08 At T, turn R and continue straight through nice shady road surrounded by trees.
3.7 km 301-3.7 Big barracks on R.
4 km 301-4 Poultry barracks on R & L.
4.2 km 301-4.2 At T (Main Road) turn L uphill and then in 60 m turn R into newly paved road with yellow rocks scattered around.
4.28 km 301-4.28 Turn R.
4.7 km 301-4.7 Rock wall and olive grove on L.
4.8 km 301-4.8 Blue fence on L.
5 km 301-5 At Y on uphill, turn R staying on paved road.
5.3 km 301-5.3 Yellow building on R.
5.4 km 301-5.4 Continue straight uphill on R. (Big tree on L).
5.8 km 301-5.8 Where blue fence and rock wall on L, turn R into newly paved steep uphill road.
6 km 301-6 At intersection, turn L staying on paved road, then directly at Y turn R round mound.
6.2 km 301-6.2 Rock walls with blue fence on L.
6.4 km 301-6.4 At Y turn R into semi paved road, leaving main road on L.
6.5 km 301-6.5 Continue straight skipping 4X4 on R, keeping big rock wall on L.
6.8 km 301-6.8 At Y where rock wall is on L, turn L.
7 km 301-7 E’jimi water spring. (needs purification before drinking)
7.7 km 301-7.7 Where rock wall is on L, Continue straight uphill ignoring 4X4 on L.
8 km 301-8 After big tree in the middle of the road, at Y turn L uphill into newly paved road. (Olive grove on L)
8.6 km 301-8.6 New orange buildings on L.
8.7 km 301-8.7 At T on main paved road, turn R downhill.
8.8 km 301-8.8 New brown house on L.
9.2 km 301-9.2 Continue straight on paved road uphill.
9.7 km 301-9.7 After big white house on L, take the first L road (semi paved), after you turn L you’ll see a small cube shaped house on R and olive grove on left.
9.8 km 301-9.8 Continue straight, rock wall and house gate on R.
10.1 km 301-10.1 Where small concrete house is on R, turn L along paved road.
10.4 km 301-10.4 Poultry barracks on R.
10.49 km 301-10.49 At T where houses on L, turn R along paved road.
10.6 km 301-10.6 Purple house on L.
10.7 km 301-10.7 After the purple house, take the first L paved road by a small concrete building.
11.2 km 301-11.2 Flat fields on R & olive groves on L.
11.4 km 301-11.4 At T with yellow cube shaped building in front, turn R.
11.6 km 301-11.6 At Intersection, Turn L following Iraq Al-Amir sign.
11.8 km 301-11.8 Just after green planted field on R, turn R cutting through the fields straight to small rocky hill saddle with fenced farm house on L of saddle.
12.2 km 301-12.2 From top of the hill (flat fields), start curving L towards the paved road .
12.5 km 301-12.5 Hit paved road, turn R downhill. (Qasr Abd visible from this point down in the valley).
13.1 km 301-13.1 At T with house on L, turn R. Then take the first L in 130 m.
13.2 km 301-13.2 Turn L by wooden Electricity pole, winding all the way down to the middle of Iraq Al-Amir village.
13.4 km 301-13.4 At T with house in front, turn L downhill.
13.7 km 301-13.7 At T on main road, turn R downhill with small water canal on R, all along the road. (Iraq Al-Amir burial Caves on L).
13.8 km 301-13.8 At intersection with big palm tree on R and big water pipe in the middle of the road, continue straight on wide paved road. (Qasr Abd sign on the way)
14.2 km 301-14.2 From the small circle with electricity pole in the middle turn R to Qasr Abd.
14.3 km 301-14.3 STAGE END: Qasr Abd entrance.
Basic Info:

Head down the valley following tracks and country roads through small farm holdings and rising up over the hills and down to the Hellenistic site of Iraq Al-Amir with its adjacent caves dating from the Copper Age 5000 years ago. There are a Women’s Craft Cooperative here and homestays.

Transportation:
Buses leave from Sweileh circle to Fuheis and from Fuheis take a taxi to the start point, taxis also available from Amman to Fuheis.
