Distance              Waypoint              Walking Notes
0 km 804-0 STAGE START: Head South West up L side of small Wadi finding a vague but slightly improving path.
115 m 804-0.12 Zig zag up towards a gap in the mountains.
200 m 804-0.2 Go through the gap and down into a hanging valley leading South West.
610 m 804-0.61 Follow the nice valley up, easy walking and wild scenery.
1.1 km 804-1.1 Wadis split. Follow the L wadi which becomes more rocky, eventually leave the wadi and rise up L onto the rocky hillside then back round R to reach an obvious small pass.
1.4 km 804-1.4 Ignore pass on R (Dangerous) and continue on hillside.
1.7 km 804-1.7 Turn R to pass heading down. Cross the loose stony hillside ahead descending slightly and heading for the next gap. Look carefully for small paths descending the scree covered slope and follow them down.
2.1 km 804-2.1 A small cairn marks the way. Start descending diagonally L towards the valley on slabby rocks with care (or avoiding them). When near the wadi head down the valley a little further.
2.3 km 804-2.3 Enter and cross the wadi then follow a 4×4 emerging L of an Industrial Complex.
3.7 km 804-3.7 Keep walking on L of fence.
6.9 km 804-6.9 At the corner of Industrial Complex fence by the truck road, cross the road into sandy wadi following it South West.
10.3 km 804-10.3 Cross another big paved road straight to sandy wadi and continue in same direction.
10.8 km 804-10.8 Join paved road and follow it all the way to the Red Sea
12 km 804-12 STAGE END: Red Sea.
Basic Info:

The last day, and its a good one! A vague path climbs up into granite mountains striated with basalt intrusions, soon reaching a sandy wadi bed which winds up towards the final pass and a view of the Red Sea. A long diagonal descent of a scree covered hillside follows (take care) before reaching the wadi bed. As it opens out, an industrial depot/car storage site is reached, but once past this and over the highway, a series of long open sandy wadis go all the way to the coast, nicest if initially walked along the intervening sandy ridges. A highway is passed along the way by going through a tunnel beneath it. Just before the sea, a small road is joined which passes by a few hotels before reaching the beach. Congratulations! Why not enjoy a swim!
