For Jameed Fans

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION

Spend a weekend in Karak during the milking season and take part in the process of making Jameed, Jordan’s white gold, the main ingredients for Jordan’s national dish of “Mansaf”. The dish goes back to the 1400, and is spread all around the Middle East today. Beit Al Jameed in Al Karak Homestay produces Jameed the traditional way and you can enjoy the full experience in this hospitable gracious home, family, and town. You will also explore the historic Al Karak Castle on foot, one of the largest crusader castles in the Levant, before delving into the Jameed experience, and eating the delicious Mansaf with the hospitable sisters Ayat and Amani.
